Request a Free Solar Heating Estimate in Cape Coral
Cape Coral Solar Water Heater Pros gives free on-site estimates for new solar pool heaters, solar water heaters, pool heat pumps and panel removal before a re-roof, in Cape Coral and the towns around it. Send the form at the bottom of this page, call us, or email info@capecoralsolarwaterheaters.com to set up a visit.
We have priced solar heating on Southwest Florida roofs since 2010, so an estimate visit is quick and specific. We measure the pool, check the roof and the shade, look at your pump or tank, and leave with everything needed for a written quote, which usually reaches you the same day or the next.
Repairs work a little differently. A repair visit is a $149 diagnostic, credited to the repair if you approve it while we are there, because finding a hidden leak or a failed sensor takes testing rather than a quick look.
Next steps
What Happens After You Reach Out
Four steps sit between your request and an installed system, and none of them cost anything until you approve a quote. Here is what each one involves and how long it usually takes.
We Confirm the Job and Book a Visit
We reply to confirm the type of job, your address and a visit time that suits you. Estimate visits are usually booked within the week, and repair visits within 1 to 2 business days in Cape Coral or 2 to 3 business days in the outer towns.
Site Visit, Roof and Shade Check
We measure the pool's surface area, take a compass reading on each usable roof face, and note shade from palms, the pool cage and neighboring homes. For a water heater we check the tank, the electrical supply, and whether the home is on city water or a well.
Your Written Quote
The quote usually arrives the same day or the next. It names the panel or collector model, the number of collectors, the controller, the tank size where there is one, and the warranty terms, so you can compare it line by line with anyone else's.
Permit, Then Install Day
Once you approve, we file the permit: Cape Coral jobs go through the city's EnerGov portal and typically take 1 to 2 weeks. Most pool heaters install in 1 day on shingle or metal and 1 to 2 days on tile, a solar water heater takes 1 day, and we book the final inspection afterward.
Have these ready
Details That Help Us Quote Faster
The more we know before the visit, the faster and tighter the quote. Type what you know into the form's message box or email it with photos; nothing here is required.
For a Solar Pool Heater
- Pool length and width, or the rough shape if it is freeform
- Roof type (concrete tile, shingle, metal or flat) and its approximate age
- Whether the pool is screened and which way the back of the house faces
- Pump type, single speed or variable speed, and any gas heater or heat pump you already have
- Whether an attached spa should be heated too
- A photo of the equipment pad showing the pump, filter and valves
For a Solar Water Heater
- How many people live in the home year round and in season
- Age, size in gallons and location of your current water heater
- A photo of the tank and its label, plus any collector already on the roof
- City water or a private well
- A recent LCEC or FPL bill, or your typical monthly range
For a Repair
- What changed: pool not warming, water on the roof, a controller error, no hot water or a higher electric bill
- When it started and anything that happened around then, such as a storm, a new roof or a power outage
- Photos of the controller display, the valves at the equipment pad and the panels from the ground
- The brand or original installer, if you know it
For Panel Removal Before a New Roof
- Your roofer's name and planned start date
- Roughly how many panels or collectors are on the roof
- The current roof type and the new one you have chosen
- Whether you want the panels stored in your garage, on the lawn or at our yard
Phone photos are plenty. A clear shot of the equipment pad and one of the tank or controller label usually tells us the brand, the age and the parts we may need to bring.

| Repair of any brand | $149, credited if you approve the repair during the visit | 1 to 2 business days in Cape Coral, 2 to 3 farther out | A diagnosis and a written repair price |

| Condo or commercial pool | Free site survey | Scheduled with the board or manager | A site-specific quote; most condo and HOA pools start around $15,000 |
Hard leaks and no-hot-water calls move to the front of the repair line. If something has already failed, our solar pool heater repair and solar water heater repair pages list the common causes and part prices.

Seasonal owners
Away for the Season? We Work With Snowbird Owners
Yes, you can get an estimate or a repair done while you are up north. Many Cape Coral owners close the house from May to October, so we regularly work from photos, a lockbox code or a neighbor with a key.
- Schedule by phone or email from anywhere, with the visit time confirmed in writing
- Gate, garage and lockbox access arranged in advance, or a neighbor or property manager lets us in
- Photos of the roof, the equipment and the finished work sent after the visit
- Quotes and invoices by email, so nothing waits in the mailbox
- A pre-season check in October or November, so the pool is warm and the tank works when you arrive
Before you leave in spring, set the pool controller to automatic with a sensible setpoint or turn solar off, and switch the water heater's backup element to vacation or off. Our solar maintenance and storm inspection service handles the fall check.
